@musicman I mean, is the mobile site always slow. Years ago, when Twitter first discovered #JavaScript, their site was really slow loading on my phone. #Chef's site could have some similar issue. -

Do it the other way round: Display the 2FA box, but hide it if #Javascript detects no 2FA enabled. That way people who don't browse with Javascript can still access the box. -

@arunisaac I'm not convinced that all the new #Javascript stuff is the best way to do a #P2P web, but good on #Beaker for building free code -

Trying to move family's e-mail services from one vendor to another. Most involved part is coordinating things, but trying to predict whose #JavaScript I have to allow next is a thrilling exercise.
Hint: say something like "Payments made through XYZ Corp. Please make sure the following XYZ domains are allowed to run JavaScript on your computer. ..." -

I suppose it isn't really #Javascript I object to, it's !surveillance applications in web browsers, and Web devs using Javascript when #POSH would suffice -

As much as I dislike #Javascript, I agree with @psema4 - it's a convenient tool for learning programming principles -

♻ Scott Elcomb @psema4: My answer: Grab a $10 Raspberry Pi Zero and learn #javascript. Don't have $10? Open a web browser and learn #javascript. #webdev ¶ via #Twitter -

Maybe too many tabs open with too much #JavaScript in each tab causing RAM bloating? -

For a client, wife just had to access #microsoft #office365 and #javascript there was SO bloated that it killed the system. Classic!

So I asked where I can find the source code of #Docker Hub on their subreddit, and rather than allowing for unfavorable discussion, they censored it:
https://www.reddit.com/r/docker/comments/5r67ih/location_of_docker_hub_source_code/
Despite Docker being free software, and their registry server being free, Docker Hub (the React program that's a UI atop of the registry) is #proprietary. While you can use the registry from their CLI tool, you cannot register an account without running non-free #JavaScript.
They apparently have a GitHub "project" for submitting issues; that project has no source code. I added an issue:
https://github.com/docker/hub-feedback/issues/946
I don't use Docker personally. -

The text on #YouTube is still there, but obscured by #CSS which needs #Javascript to make it display. So can see it by turning off styles ("View, Page Style, No Style" in Firefox/IceCat). #Javascrippled -

I wish #Patreon was not #JavaScrippled. It is enough to ask me to visit a site to give you money without asking me to change browser settings to do so. And, no, I am not aware of an alternative that doesn't require #JavaScript to even view the site, but if I was, I'd be more likely to support you through that site. -

Reminds me of Sturgeon's Law: "90% of !SciFi is crap, but then 90% of everything is crap." So let me formulate @KZimmermann's law: "Disabling #Javascript blocks 98% of advertising, but then disabling Javascript blocks 98% of everything." #Javascrippled -

It's delightful and ridiculous to see how you can block 98% of all #ads just by going into about:config and disabling #javascript !privacy
